SAE Audio students need to regularly record bands for course assignments. We are maintaining a database with bands that volunteer for these student sessions.
If you are/have a band that is ready for studio recordings please complete the form below to sign up.
The sessions are free of charge. Due to the fact that the students who engineer these recordings are still learning, there is of course a limit in quality that you can expect from a student's production. If you require a recording for commercial use, please refer to commercial recording studios, of which there are many available in Auckland.
It is an SAE policy that students' recordings must not be used for commercial release. However, these sessions definitely provide a good opportunity for bands to gain studio experience, to record a simple demo or to try out new material.
Once you have signed up and submitted your band's details, these become available to current SAE Audio Engineering and Film Making students. Students may contact you to arrange for a recording session.
Please be aware that there is no guarantee of being contacted and that when you are invited to the Institute for a session, you have to abide by Institute rules and regulations.
