Update [26.06.08] - From the 27th of June 2008 till the 25th of August 2008, there will be major maintenance work in the area of Central Station and the IJ-tunnel. This will have a certain impact on people traveling to SAE Institute Amsterdam during the summer 2008 period. Trams and buses will continue to operate but in many cases diverted. Route description SAE Amsterdam:
For local students and students travelling by train and arriving at Central Station, the best option is to take the ferry behind central station to the IJ-plein/Meeuwenlaan, followed by a 5 minute bike ride or 15 minute walk to the Johan van Hasseltweg.
By bus from Amsterdam Central Station:
Take Bus 33 it's a 6 minute busride, after going through the IJ-tunnel, stop at Johan van Hasseltweg (first stop after the IJ-tunnel). From there it's a 6 minute walk.
By car or motorcycle;
For those wishing to travel by car or motorcycle, there is free parking directly outside the school. The Johan van Hasseltweg can be found within five minutes of the S116 exit from the ring road of Amsterdam.
When taking exit S116 from the ring road, go in the direction of the city centre (Follow 'Centrum'). After 1200m, take exit ‘Noord 300-349 ’. At the end of the slip road turn left. By the round about, go straight ahead on the Johan van Hasseltweg and you will find our building 200m further on your right hand side (next to the building of G-sus industries).
