Audio

SAE Sydney's extensive audio facilities consist of purpose-built recording, mixdown and editing studios professionally fitted with state-of-the-art equipment from some of the world's most famous manufacturers.

  • Electronic Music Production studio;
  • Basic MIDI suite;
  • Advanced MIDI suite;
  • 8 Track Live room, 8 Trk Record (Analogue 24 Inline console) and 8 Trk Mix (Yamaha 02R console);
  • 16 Track Live room, Record (Neve's flagship 88D Digital console) and mix (Focusrite Control 24 console);
  • A brand new 5.1 Surround sound Post-Production suite (DXB console) with dedicated Foley studio
  • 24 Track Live room, Record (Sony MXP 3000 Analogue Inline console with Otari 2" Analogue MTR 90 II and Protools HD) and Mix (32 Channel DigiDesign Icon).

Film Making

In addition to extensive computing facilities, including Apple G5 workstations, our Digital Film studios include the following:

  • 3 x Dedicated Final Cut Prod Edit suites;
  • 2 x Dedicated Avid Edit suites;
  • 1x HDV Sony Z1 camera
  • 2 x Canon XL1s cameras;
  • 1 x Canon XL2 cameras;
  • Glidecam;
  • Kino lights;
  • Chromaflex portable green screen kit (new green screen studio coming soon to replace previous blue screen room pictured left)
  • 2.5 Metre camera crane & dolly
  • All equipment is updated on a regular basis and may change from time to time as new models and versions become available.

Computer Graphics & Animation

Our Maya on Macintosh Lab boasts G5 with enough grunt to meet the rigours of animation and special effects. Other rooms in this department included high-end PCs for Max and Maya as well as a Traditional Animation setup.

  • 3 x Classrooms with Maya and Max (approx 18 students per room);
  • 1 x Traditional Animation room;
  • 1 x Green Screen facility;
  • Render farm;

SAE is fully equipped with all of the latest hardware and software required by professionals in the Multimedia industry.

  • High-end Apple workstations (for the majority of graphics, DTP, authoring and web publishing tasks);
