This two-day, hands-on course introduces particiapnts to the primary feature set and basic interface of Final Cut Pro. In this course, you'll learn to perform basic editing functions while familiarizing yourself with the user interface. Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, Ripple, Roll, Slip and Slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.
Who Should Attend
This class is designed for anyone looking to edit professional-quality video with Final Cut Pro and who prefers hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore its functionality. Also desirable: an understanding of Mac OS X and basic computer navigation. Students interested in certification may prefer to attend FCP 101 or FCP 200.

* Working with the Browser and Bins
* Marking clips and creating insert and overwrite edits
* Drag-and-drop editing
* Trimming edit points
* Using Ripple, Roll, and Extend edits and the Slip and Slide tools
* Finishing and final output
All participants of this course are provided with Apple's official training guide, Final Cut Pro 6 by Diana Weynand.
Apple Certification
After completing this course, you may choose to take Apple's Final Cut Pro, level 1 exam to become a level 1 Apple Certified Pro.
