Audio Engineering

This course offers students a thorough education of all aspects of audio engineering and is designed to train the future professionals of the audio industry. This highly practical course provides students with skills in all audio production-related areas and provides an excellent pathway into careers in post-production, surround sound (for film), audio engineering, mixing and assistant studio posts. Electronic Music Production

This short course focuses on topics including sampling, sequencing, synthesis and an overview of music technology. Animation

With certain elements common to the digital film major, students choosing this stream will concentrate on the application of computer technology for the creation and integration of moving images for TV, film and computer games. This major allows students to explore a wide range of techniques utilising state-of-the-art hardware and software and places a primary emphasis on the creative and visualisation skills. SAE's degree programs also cover aspects of business management, marketing, legal and contemporary issues.

Film Making

This major focuses on a combination of traditional and modern production and directing techniques, video post-production, digital film technology and computer-aided production. It combines traditional camera and lighting techniques with digital editing and compositing, utilising industry-standard software. This program develops the skills required of todays TV and film professionals. SAE's degree programs also cover aspects of business management, marketing, legal and contemporary issues.

Multimedia

This major gives students an opportunity to explore and experiment with new media. It examines, in detail, the creation and manipulation of computer generated static and moving images, a broad range of contemporary software and teaches an understanding of the complex production process associated with the creation of 2D/3D graphics, CD-ROM and DVD authoring and web design, programming and development. SAE's degree programs also cover aspects of business management, marketing, legal and contemporary issues.
