These courses provide students with the practical skills necessary to work in the entertainment and music industries. Students will develop sound recording and mixing skills, an understanding of the music business, music production techniques and a solid grounding in all aspects of working with commercial music in a recording studio, broadcast facility or any other commercial sound facility.
You will learn both the technical and creative side of the recording process and how to work with others in the studio environment while completing complex recording projects. The courses cover all aspects of audio production, studio recording and live sound techniques, mixing, mastering, MIDI and modern music creation, music business, studio acoustics and the application of current technology to the music production process.
Theoretical lectures are complemented by practical studio demonstrations. During this program you will book our recording studios and audio workstations for your own practical sessions using our state-of-the-art facilities – because hands-on studio time is the only way to learn.
College tours and interviews with the course manager are welcomed. We encourage our prospective students to talk to us as much as possible to see if this is a suitable field of study. Please make a booking through administration.
